Whether you're in a leadership role, serving as staff or volunteer, or new to nonprofits all together, this series provides you with practical, hands-on learning. We will share tips and tools for small to midsize organizations, whether staffed or all-volunteer. We celebrate and welcome participants of all genders, part of the Native Nonprofit Learning Series.

The Facilitators

  • NANCY BACON

    a nonprofit educator who has served in every nonprofit role: executive director, program director, board chair, fundraising director, and volunteer. Nancy has designed and delivered trainings on boards, finance, fundraising, and compliance to diverse nonprofit audiences since 2013. She created the Nonprofit L&I Navigator in 2023 to provide practical information on worker-related rules.   • BRITT RYNEARSON

    Britt is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation with family heritage in the Arrow Lakes band and Yakama Nation. She is a local to the PNW and lives in Seattle with her husband and three kids. Her professional background includes a decade of leadership in Marketing and Communications, most recently at Friends of Waterfront Seattle and Town Hall Seattle. Britt spent her early career running her own business creating fashion and home goods using the medium of Arashi Shibori, a method used to pleat cloth around a pipe or pole with thread. This work is intended to mimic the movements on the surface of the Puget Sound. You can learn more about her textile work at araeform.com.
