    Join us in Spokane for two days of connection and learning as part of Native Action Network’s ongoing Native Nonprofit Learning Series/

    December 11th: Native ACTION Networking

    Time: 6:00–8:00 PM

    Location: The Davenport Hotel - The Flowerfield Room, Spokane, WA

    An evening of networking for Native nonprofit professionals to build relationships, share ideas, and strengthen our community. and a Q&A session on Funding Readiness with Sky Pagaling, Executive Director of Camas Foundation

    December 12th: Healthy Native Leadership & Successful Grant Writing

    Time: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

    Location: The Native Project, Spokane, WA

    A full day of training focused on healthy leadership and effective grantmaking. We will start the day with Healthy Native Leadership for Nonprofits presented by Pam James, followed by a group lunch. In the afternoon, we will hear from Pam, Nancy Bacon, and Jami Barney for Successful Grant Writing and Compliance Basics for Native Nonprofits. Our workshop will close with a Q&A and knowledge-sharing circle.

VIRTUAL SESSIONS

A program designed to give you information and tools to help you run your nonprofit. Whether you're in a leadership role, serving as staff or volunteer, or new to nonprofits all together, this series provides you with practical, hands-on learning. We will share tips and tools for small to midsize organizations, whether staffed or all-volunteer. We celebrate and welcome participants of all genders, part of the Native Nonprofit Learning Series.

  • Native Nonprofit “Building Community Together” Conference - A Huge Success

    Native Action Network convened a successful nonprofit conference on October 7-9 in Spokane, Washington! This was the first Native nonprofit conference in our state, creating many opportunities to meet and network with emerging nonprofit leaders. Participants representing many regions and Tribes across the state highlighted issues and opportunities at the center of Native nonprofit leadership. We were honored to host Erik Stegman, CEO of Native Americans in Philanthropy. The Conference was held at Northern Quest Casino and Resort, which is owned by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians. While there, we appreciated being hosted for an evening get together by the Camas Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the Kalispel Tribe’s language, culture, and heritage.

     

    The Conference was an important part of NAN’s Native Nonprofit Learning Network, funded by the Washington State Office of the Secretary of State.
