Putting the Human Back into AI: Communicating Faster and Smarter
Are you curious about AI—but want to engage with it on your own terms?
AI is already shaping how we communicate, plan, and get work done. How do we use it intentionally, ethically, and without losing our human judgment or voice? Grounded in the idea of sovereignty, this session focuses on making informed choices about when, why, and how AI fits into your work.
We’ll cover communication essentials and show how AI tools can help you plan, draft, refine, and organize content more efficiently—without losing your voice, values, or judgment. Examples will include writing and editing, planning communications, summarizing notes, and reducing everyday cognitive load.
The session includes live demonstrations and plenty of real-world examples. You’ll leave with a digital workbook containing practical prompts, templates, and decision-making guides you can use right away—so AI works for you, not the other way around.

Who should attend:
This session is designed for people who are curious about AI and want practical guidance on using it well in their daily work. It’s especially useful for nonprofit leaders who communicate, plan, write, or synthesize information as part of their role. This is not a forum to debate the merits or risks of AI. Instead, the focus is on hands-on understanding, informed use, and building confidence with tools that are already shaping how we work.
