Workshop Descriptions:
How Do Leaders Build Accountability While Setting Employees Up for Success?
This interactive workshop shows how to set expectations from the time of hire, through an employe’s transition out of the organization. The training follows the employee life cycle, beginning with clear expectations, onboarding, and training. Participants will then explore how coaching, feedback, and recognition support
employee performance, strengthen relationships, and encourage growth. The workshop concludes with an introduction to addressing performance and conduct concerns through appropriate discipline and organizational procedures. Through discussion, workplace scenarios, and conversation practice, participants will consider how to support employees. The approach recognizes the relationships, cultural contexts, limited resources, and overlapping responsibilities that can shape leadership in Native nonprofit organizations.
