CLOSED - Covid-19 Relief Fund Application Deadline

APPLICATION NOW CLOSED - We Received More Applicants Than We Can Fund

COVID-19 is having an adverse impact on Native communities and as a result Native households are facing significant economic hardship. To support our community during this challenging time, Native Action Network will provide emergency assistance as available until funds are expended. Assistance may be used for covering the cost of housing, utilities, prescriptions and medical costs, transportation expenses, and other day-to-day essentials such as diapers and hygiene products. This initiative was made possible with funds provided by the Equity in Education Coalition.

Eligibility

  • Open to Native American and Alaska Native people living in King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Kitsap, Washington

  • Only one applicant per household

  • Intended for community members experiencing economic hardship as a result of job loss or reduction in household income

Applicants should provide documentation of enrollment in a tribe. Examples of documentation include: tribal enrollment card, letter from an Alaska Native village or tribe identifying the applicant as a member, a letter from a tribal enrollment office identifying the applicant as a descendant, or a CDIB card.

Process

Applications will be reviewed for completeness and eligibility and grantees will be selected through an internal review process. We can only issue assistance within our budget. Funds will be distributed as quickly as possible to selected applicants in late November. Recipients will be kept confidential. Demographic data collected will be used for reporting purposes, and will not be associated with any personally identifiable information. No reporting or receipts will be required after the assistance has been distributed.
