We’ll have vendors selling artwork, jewelry, and other products! NAN will offer light bites and refreshments to our guests.

Featured Artist: Gonzalo N. Pelayo Jr. (Guy), Tlingit Formline, Portrait, & Multi-Media Artist

While Gonzalo has no formal career as an artist it is the constant in his life. Though Portraits are commonly commissioned he does venture into other realms creating using natural and industrial elements for more dynamic fine art. Tlingit design would surround him growing up  within the islands of southeast Alaska, Juneau being his birthplace. His ancestors are deep rooted on the island of Sitka and would be his source of knowledge of tribal culture. Stories handed down by Elders inspired his interest in the artform.

Seattle is the core of “Guy’s” (his alter ego) devotion to artistry of every facet. Lacking interest in conventional education his mentors introduced coffee shop poetry readings and gallery walks before he gained his first credit of high school.

With a successful career as a “Mixologist” Guy spent his down time traveling which spans from China to Florida, and Mexico. The desire to explore wouldn’t fade and found Gonzalo in his thirties Bartending atop of Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. All of which molded the style of paintings of that stage of adulthood. Many days were spent laying on his lanai with a huge canvas, painting and making a mess with his kids. The first time his paintings would be available to the public. A long white wall inside of a small cantina in Hilo. Where the bulk of his personal collection would sell within weeks.

The creation of Luna White Feather, He and older sister, Taleena Pelayo, now travel the west coast selling self care products as an Indigenous base company where his works could be found decorating their stand. As most of his current pieces are Tlingit based native fairs and pow wows have been the extent of Gonzalo’s exposure and is now for the first time opening his portfolio to the public establishing GP Designs as his domain. The site is waiting to be published. For now you can find him at any event you hear drums playing.
